A Sciences Po Paris and London School of Economics graduate in European Studies and European Political Economy, she has studied the European Union and national politics for many years. Her professional background has led her to develop a broad network of contacts and to monitor as well as analyse politics for international investors. Famke has advised corporate and financial sector clients on the implications of political risk in a broad range of Western European countries. She has lived, studied and worked in Belgium, the Netherlands, the UK and France.

James is on the board of OpenCitiz as an investor and advisor. He brings experience from several IT companies and the understanding of growing startups. James is currently the senior technical director for Southern Europe at Nutanix, a fast growing company planning an IPO. Previously he was a business developer at Hitachi Data Systems covering Europe, Middle East and Africa. He also held several technical positions in the early days of VMware until the company reached +10.000 employees. From 2002 to 2006, James was at Veritas Software as a level 2 support engineer for 2000 companies globally. His role at OpenCitiz is to enable a clear understanding of how technology can improve the life of citizens in cities, and to act as a technical and business advisor more generally.
